On-Machine Electronic Metal Separator — End-Point Safety

T-MAX LCS Series: electronic metal separator adapted to the feed inlet of the process machine. Sensor + metal valve + pneumatic discharge protect the machine from metal contamination.

LCS Series metal separation devices are adapted to the feed inlet (the end point) of the process machine and provide end-point safety. The most important factor for this model is the temperature at the point where it is fitted and the temperature within it. The most reliable application is safety at the end point of the system.

The contamination level, granule or powder form, and capacity of the material to be fed to the machine are important when selecting the right model. Manufactured in Germany, the product offers long service life with almost no maintenance thanks to its durable, robust body.

End-Point Safety & Fully Automatic

Protects machines from metal pieces in dense material flow. Detects metallic particles inside heavy materials via a detector. Stops material flow via the metal valve; the sensor ejects metal particles for material to return to production. Fully automatic operation; discharge by electro-pneumatic cylinder. Removes metal particles from stationary material masses.

Flexible Mounting & High-Temperature Option

Suitable for vertical and angled conveyor belts and piping systems. Simple design — easily installed. On request the LCS system can be manufactured for pipe angles greater than 45° and temperatures higher than 500 °C.

Options & Sensitivity

Discharge position (for emptying containers) and cleaning position (in case of rejection) are operated via a switch. Recommended for units with large feed diameters. Maximum sensitivity depends on the diameter of the steel sphere; sensitivity may be marginally reduced when material flow is excessively slow.
